My parents have influenced every aspect of my life. I am walking in their honor. I walk for their steps that they deserved to take. I walk for their memory. I walk for every woman, for every person who has ever had to fight.

Love LIfe
I was diagnosed with breast cancer in June 2007. My life has not been the same. I am here to tell the story that it is real but through faith, family, and friends God will bring you through. God gave me an second chance. Love life most of all love you.

I was diagnosed in 2001 with stage 2 agressive breast cancer with high Her2 level.

No blister will stop me, nor rain, wind or heat. She would walk to the ends of the earth for me, so I return the favor and walk for her. I know she can see me from heaven. Lisa is my angel. I lost her in July 2004 at age 41.. Mom is my biggest supporter and fan. Love tons.

My Breast Cancer Year
When I was 47, I found a large lump on 8/1/07. I immediately had a double mastectomy. Then 15 rounds of chemo and 6 weeks of radiation. I still have to finish my once a week chemo until January '09. After that's done I can finish my breast reconstruction.

I AM NOT ALONE

I was diagnosed with stage one Breast Cancer in 2003, I lived alone in Nevada at the time and my family was 4 hours away.
I was scared and I didn't know how I was going to tell my two grown children or the rest of my family and friends.

The Finish Line

I got a stress fracture in my foot and couldn't finish the walk. I was devastated that I couldn't make it to the finish line so I wrote this because I saw so many others that had a hard time with that while I was in the medical tent.

My Mom was diagnosed this year with breast cancer. Because of early detection, she is going to be just fine. But I also walked for all women, so early detection is possible.

The cancer news & more days than I'd like to count of treatment had me flat on my back; I've realized that I had a choice: feel cursed or blessed - - there is no doubt that it is the later and I choose to walk forward. One day I WILL be a survivor!

We all walked as one

26.2 miles...and....the other two walked 39.3...and...the other team member, the 4th, had a double mastectomy 3 weeks before the walk so she drove around and helped and supported us with a good friend. I felt like I was carrying her the whole time.
